On Space and Limitation of Text Interpretation

翻译的第一步是对文本的理解,所以提这样一个问题似乎是有益的:为什么文本可以被阐释?或者说文本可以在多大程度上被阐释?要回答这样的问题就涉及了文本的理解问题。这篇文章拟就翻译过程中文本阐释的空间与局限进行探讨。作为一门研究理解本身的学科,阐释学在西方有着悠久的历史。特别是伽达默尔的“视域融合”理论给了翻译过程中文本理解的研究许多有益的启发。文本是在阐释中生成的。文本的生成需要三个条件:作者的意图,文本的意图和读者的意图。这三者在文本阐释的过程中产生作用,而文本阐释过程其实就是文本和读者二者视域的融合过程。在这个融合的过程中存在着阐释学的循环。作为这一过程的结果,视域融合度标志着文本阐释的有效性。因为读者的视域总是被由文化而产生的公共视域所操控,文本阐释实际上就涉及三个要素:文本视域,读者视域和公共视域。文本阐释的空间与限度也是由这三者决定。文本阐释的空间首先是由文本视域中“不确定的点”和这些点之间的“空白”决定的;作为视域融合中关  (本文共66页) 本文目录 | 阅读全文>>
