纵览康德哲学在中、日两国的传播和接受过程,可以发现,学界在“先天”(a priori)概念的理解和翻译上分歧很大,就中译名来说就多达12种[1],如郑昕曾经将a priori译为“迹先”[2],韦卓民在其所译的《纯粹理性批判》中将a priori译为“验前”[3],张东荪将其译为“事先”[4]。国内目前普遍采用了“先天”这个译名来翻译a priori[5],而当今日本学界却普遍将其译为“先验的”[6]。对于一个概念的译名分歧如此之大,足以证明学界对此概念的认识和理解上存在很大分歧。那么,究竟该如何来正确理解康德哲学中的a pri-ori概念呢?毫无疑问,要正确理解一个概念必须得全面考虑与此概念相关的方方面面的因素。笔者发现,迄今为止,对这个概念认识最深刻、最全面的当属日本学者桑木严翼。一、桑木严翼与《康德与现代之哲学》桑木严翼是日本著名的新康德主义者,其哲学思想主要来源于康德和新康德主义,他生前曾积极地参与哲学启蒙活动和民主运动...
